I have always considered myself to be a wildlife opportunist in that I do not specifically seek wildlife to photograph. This runs counter to a growing number of bird photographers that query me about the birds I have seen on my hikes. Enviably they are disappointed by my lack of ornithology knowledge and just walk away.
